Still one of my favourite and most rewarding experiences ever.
Last night, we slept rough to raise money for the local homeless charity, Genesis Trust. So far, I have raised a total of £465 and hope to continue to raise more. I have also had five bags of clothes and bedding donated alongside buckets of extra change.
I want to say a big thank you to all of those who slept out last night and gave their time to such a worthy cause. I know that we have all taken a lot from this experience and have learnt just how grateful we are to not only have a home but to have heating!
It was extremely cold, damp and uncomfortable but it was one of the best experiences I have ever had in my life. It is something I will take with me for the rest of my life and I am so proud of every single person who took part and also thankful for everyone who has already donated.
A big thank you to the University for letting me host the sleep out, and also the Refectory (Rachel Roberts) who sorted out a breakfast for the sleepers the following morning.
The sleep out is all organised and ready to go ahead, that is if the weather holds out OK.

I can’t wait.
