Jiwon didn’t like most things that didn’t leave a good first impression and that was arguably his best, yet also worst character trait. Not to say that he had a hard time growing fond of things for she knew him to be the type of person to easily open up his heart for others, be it fans, strangers or mere acquaintances. But when there was something that caught his eye and left a bad first impression, as he liked to call it, then there was hardly any going back from it. He appeared to be the sort of person who could easily keep track of things and remember even the smallest of incidents. This kind of love for detail was visible on stage too, but it could get to be a little irritating every once in a while when one knew the person behind the idol on stage.
So she sat there and allowed for the male to speak his mind when he voiced his dislike for that particular colleague of Hanna that had asked her to accompany him to the Christmas party the hotel manager had invited the entire staff to. And while the student initially wanted to refuse the offer for lack of interest and no desire to spend what little free time she had in a place she didn’t really want to be at anyway, something about the way Jiwon had to let her know his opinion had her smiling tiredly while shaking her head at his antics. Hanna thought that maybe, he was forever going to stay a child if he kept on behaving like this but it wasn’t meant in a good way.
She knew he cared and that was quintessentially the only thing that really mattered.
❝You don’t know him.❞ Hanna was quick to deadpan once the other declared he wasn’t fond of a person he had never truly bothered to speak to. Perhaps it was the fatigue that spoke out of her, or just the simple desire to get some peace of mind before asking the other to leave so that she could take a nap. Either way, the student didn’t feel well to begin with and while he didn’t do anything to make her feel worse, the debate made her feel unnecessarily insecure about said colleague’s invitation. ❝How can you not like someone you never really met? You’ve only ever heard me talking about him and that was like once or twice! Don’t be so quick to judge him, oppa. That’s not fair.❞
It wasn’t the first time the male had been showcasing such strong view and feelings. He was a caring person, no doubt about that. But sometimes, mostly due to being around their leader Hanbin too much, he was beginning to become blunt, his words received through no filter whatsoever. And occasionally, he would tend to overdo things. This case was the same. “I don’t fuckin’ care if I don’t know him. Well and truly that’s the whole point, if I don’t know someone due to them being a mysterious person, I don’t trust their intentions.” To put it clearly, Bobby rarely trusted anyway. Despite coming across as the most friendliest of people, the male rapper always had his guard up, past events had forced him to do so. So whilst being wary of the people that approach him, Bobby made sure to also look out for the people he cared about.
“What’s not fair? Have you ever said anything nice about him? He ever made you happy-- all I ever hear from you is how he’s always trying to hug you and shit.” The expressions that were masked over the elder’s face showed evidence of disgust, his head slowly shaking with a shroud of disapproval. What he didn’t quite grasp was why Hanna was advocating him in the first place, what was she to gain out of it anyway. And if going on this dinner with him was something she’d planned to do, why did the need to discuss it with Bobby even occur to her? “Don’t be so quick to judge? You can tell me that, but what about the rest of this judgmental world. Sorry yeah, but first impressions count.” With his said words, escaped a small chuckle, a hint of mock clouded behind it.
“If you wanna go with him, go. I ain’t gon’ stop you.”
He simply shrugged his shoulders, reaching across the bed they’d settled themselves down onto to grab his phone. He awaited her response to what he’d said, but it seemed as though suddenly, she’d become very nervous, and quiet. And evidently, Bobby was beginning to get frustrated. It wasn’t his intention to make her feel some type of way, only to look out for her was what he was trying to do, but it looked like she didn’t really need his opinion. For that reason alone, Bobby closed his mouth, simply going away at his phone, thumb silently gliding across the screen of the handheld device.
