Back From Hiatus + Updates
Hey everyone Mod Mabers here!!!!
I am so very sorry about leaving this blog alone for so long, I had gotten extreme depression and anxiety thanks to college as well as overstimulated, but I’m here now and I’m back on running the blog.
Mod Blitzwing remade so they’re no longer a mod on the blog. I’ve talked to them, and they’re not sure if they want to come back yet, so please respect their decision. They’re doing v good though, so don’t worry about that.
There are currently over 50 submissions in the ask box, so for now I’m only queueing everything so that we have a nice little back up, but a few of them will be posted right away. I’m be going from oldest to newest btw, so if you don’t see your submission right away, it’s probably because of that.
I’m also considering changing the theme to the blog. Even though it looks super cute, it has some issues that bother me, so if anyone has any suggestions, please don’t hesitate to tell me.
And remember, I love you!!!!
Not being able to get a diagnosis of Scotopic Sensitivity Syndrome nor Autism and having to wait until your 16 to go by yourself to the Irlen place for SSS and hopefully be directed to someone who can diagnose Autism without your family knowing at all.
As someone who’s currently going the struggles of getting a paper diagnosis for autism (in the hopes it makes my life easier) I feel u anon. I wish u luck anon!!!

battledeer replied to your post “i have these thoughts where i really just want everyone to die. like...”
A tip for coping with intrusive thoughts that works for some ppl is to respond to them as though they are being suggested by another person. Like "hey u should kill this person" and u can reply "no that's a bad idea lets not do that." Its how I cope.
the ask in question
This is called radical acceptance and is a v good ref/tip to follow in dealing with intrusive thoughts. It does not work with everybody but it’s a good step for most.

me: cringes and has to cover ears every time i flush a toilet due to loud noise me: is completely fine w/ fire alarms
Have you tried in investing in earplugs anon? Noise cancelling headphones work wonders as well but obviously not everyone can afford them.
No offense I honestly hate nt people because I literally can't even look sad In front of them because theyl just complain I'm scared to even say anything negative in front of an nt ah
No offense taken anon. I hate NTs with just an equal fashion because they literally make my life a living hell and there’s no denying that the fact that we can’t be who we are in front of them is the worst.

I've got nowhere else to go with this. i've got self dx'd ADHD and it's really really impacting my life and I asked my mum if i could go to a doctor about it but she said I "didn't want to get diagnosed with *that*" and "it's got a bad reputation" and after lots of other stuff like this ("forgetting" important conversations etc) I just don't even feel safe anymore. I don't have the courage to tell anyone at school. but yeah. (Side note: I'm 13, 14 in about a month) anyone got any advice?
Ok ok so I personally don’t have ADHD so I can’t say how to go about getting diagnosed and help, but I can give you a general outline/tips of what you can do.
Gather all your research and highlight/mark off anything that applies to you. Show this to your mother. Keep on insisting till the cows come home.
Another thing you can do is taking this research on hand when you go to the doctor’s next time. When your mom/parents are gone from the room (not sure if this is applicable to DMAB peeps but if ur DFAB u know what I mean) then show your doctor ur research and tell them what you believe you have. With any luck they’ll make an appointment for you to see a behavioral specialist and the like to get diagnosed.
Talk to your school advisor/counselor. Like, real talk, that’s why they’re there. To help you. Tell them that you’re self dx and that you want to get a paper diagnosis and why it’s so important to you and your mental health. I know it’s very hard so I suggest picking a day to do it (Friday is the best imo) and practice talking about everything to yourself up until the day.
Find someone who’s dx with ADHD or a community of them online and get tips and help for specific stuff you’re looking for.
Most importantly talk to your mother about this. Just try to talk it out and emphasize that it’s not some sort of phase or that you’re making this up and that it’s directly impacting your life.
I’m sorry if my advice isn’t good enough friendo but it’s what worked for me in the past so I hope it works for you. Anyone else got advice for them?
