This year's Thanksgiving rolls are going to be infused with the essence of monster fucking thanks to my @ishipitpod episode of choice for the days baking festivities. Deciding to make time for her podcast during my baking was such a great choice. The episode was absolutely hilarious and I loved everything I learned about the history of the phenomenon. I made cheese bread!!
I tried my hand at making normal sized cakes instead of cupcakes for the first time for my kids' birthday party today! Also used fondant for the first time. Overall it was a very fun experience.
I was also a sneaky bitch and put zucchini in the chocolate one. Mom win.
Getting some podcast listening in while I turn that ridiculous stack of ripe bananas into delicious things! @ishipitpod's newest episode about slow burns is the perfect back drop to my baking adventures.

In honor of Steve Rogers’ birthday, I made an apple pie.
My podcast partners are both coming over so we can brainstorm title ideas and just hang out since my kids are off camping for the weekend, and because I’m the bake-aholic of our group, I baked a big, beautiful apple pie. And yes that's basically caramel all over the top.
Oh, how I wish Steve could pop over and share a slice of this lovely pie with us. Sigh
Also, Because I had to figure out how to format that sigh the word looks REAL weird to me right now so I hope it’s actually correct.
Anyway, my soundtrack for the baking has been @ishipitpod‘s lovely lovely podcast because there are FIFTY episodes and I definitely haven’t listened to them all yet. It’s putting me in such a good mood. I love it.

Peach cobbler with fresh peaches!
I figured I'd reward myself for putting up a crap ton of peaches for the winter with a nice pan of peach cobbler made from the sweetest ones. Hopefully it tastes as good as it looks.
