any princess you have not done yet for the princess ask game 💖
Belle: Name a book that changed your life
Presently, The Films of Lana Turner by Lou Valentino.
Jasmine: What's a country you want to visit?
Loads- Denmark, Ireland, and Brazil come to mind immediately.
Pocahontas: What's something you wish people understood more?
Imitation is not the sincerest form of flattery, and often turns people off and makes them lose the part of themselves that you originally liked. If there is something you admire about someone, encourage it in them and nurture an environment for those qualities in which to reach their complete potential. Everyone is different and we should all discover our purpose and find ways to nourish those individual talents, as well as those others possess.
Mulan: What's unexpected about you?
I don't know if there is anything that's unexpected about me? But then again, I might be too close to the subject matter lol
Tiana: What's your favorite recipe?
My grandmother had an unbeatable recipe for bread that I've adored from the time I was a child.
Rapunzel: Are you artistic?
I'd like to think I am and that all people are. How inclined one is to these innate gifts that everyone has, in my opinion, depends on how spiritual- not necessarily religious, but spiritual- they are. Remove spirituality from life and everything's monotonous and corporate and businesslike. Again, this is only my opinion.
Merida: Ever turned anyone into a bear? Or other large mammal?
I haven't, I like bears just as they are 🐻🥰IYKYK
Anna: What's your relationship with your sibling(s) like?
The way any relationship with two people who are unlike and have nothing in common can be. My sister's very intelligent and beautiful and can definitely be charming, we just don't have much a connection.
Elsa: What would your superpower be?
Being the only bidder in online auctions lol
Moana: Are you a princess?
If a Princess is considered on the basis of the console they have behind them, then yes! I've been very fortunate to be surrounded by my very favorite people in the world 👑

11. favorite quote(s).
"i was yours once till death if you'd cared to keep me, but i'm someone else's now-- i can't hang about whining for ever-- and he's mine in a way that shocks you. but why don't you stop being shocked, and attend to your own happiness?" (maurice by e.m. forester)
"it is as if i had a string somewhere under my left ribs, tightly and inextricably knotted to a similar string situated in the corresponding quarter of your little frame. and if that boisterous channel, and two hundred miles or so of land some broad between us, i am afraid that cord of communion will be snapt; and then i've a nervous notion i should take to bleeding inwardly." (jane eyre by charlotte brontë)

BEAUTIFUL PERSON AWARD! Once you are given this award you’re supposed to paste it in the asks of 8 people who deserve it. If you break the chain nothing happens, but it's sweet to know someone thinks you’re beautiful inside and out.💕
Awww thanks Rachel!!! ❤️ Right back at you dear! ❤️
joan fontaine, jane powell, gene tierney, greer garson ✨✨
Joan Fontaine
How many movies I’ve seen them in -30
How I feel about their acting - She played the wide eyed damsel parts so well.
How I feel about them as a person - I don’t know a lot about her and I know she had a complicated relationship with Olivia at times but I still love the fact they were sisters making movies!
My favorite role they played - pretty common but I have to go with Rebecca, I just love that film her portrayal of Mrs. de Winter!
My least favorite role they played - Cassanova’s Big Night, she didn’t even seem like she was trying and I don’t really blame her.
Jane Powell
How many movies I’ve seen them in - 9
How I feel about their acting - She was such a sweet and fun actress I need to see more of her!
How I feel about them as a person - I know zero about her so I can’t say, but she could sing and dance nicely!
My favorite role they played - Love her in Royal Wedding! It’s one I’ve loved since I was young!
My least favorite role they played - Seven Brides for Seven Brothers, that style of musical is not really my thing.
Gene Tierney
How many movies I’ve seen them in - 24
How I feel about their acting - I think she was great!
How I feel about them as a person - I look up to her in a lot of ways, her struggles and openness about her mental health and how she kept going give me hope.
My favorite role they played - Laura, it’s one of my most favorite films!
My least favorite role they played - Belle Star, the racism was glaring.
Greer Garson
How many movies I’ve seen them in - 20
How I feel about their acting - She was so natural and wonderful at every type of roll!
How I feel about them as a person - She seemed like a really fun person and I always feel a sense of connection to any naturally red haired actress!
My favorite role they played - This hard because I really love Julia Misbehaves but it’s one of her only comedies so I feel like I should say a drama which she did excel at and I love them but I’ll leave at that because I am trying to leave it at one! but if I did pick a drama it would be Random Harvest
My least favorite role they played - Julius Cesar, that movie was hard to get through. Thanks so much for asking, Rachel!
i was tagged (a long time ago) by @theimpossiblescheme to post "some of my formative influences – different pieces of media that explain a lot about why i am the way i am." thank you! 💕
old films in general were very formative to me but there isn't just one film i can choose to represent that, so instead i picked fred and ginger who were one of the first old hollywood things i came across and fell in love and a streetcar named desire because it's one of my favorite stories + vivien leigh is also very important to me.
(dogville is also on this list but i had to choose an even number of pictures KSJFKDKS)
i tag @mscarolinebingley @she-went-all-cylon @kittensmctavish @norashelley @hildy-dont-be-hasty and @joanleslies :)
for the movie ask: 3, 22, 56 💙
Hello @joanleslies! I only just saw this in my inbox, so I’m sorry if this hasn’t been answered for a long time! I’ll answer the questions for the most recent movie ask i reblogged.
3. A movie you quote on a daily basis.
I don’t think I quote movies every day, but I do quote 1917 a lot!
22. An overrated actress.
I’ve only seen a couple of her movies, but I think Emma Watson is overrated. I guess I haven’t seen enough of her movies to judge, but I don’t know. I’m just not a fan of her.
56. Best cinematography.
Hands down, 1917! The “one shot” take is so immersive and adds to the suspense. And don’t get me started on the night window scene!
Thank you for asking! 💗
