THG Headcanons? THG Headcanons anyone?
Peeta reclaims the usage of “sweetheart” and changes it from something annoying to something precious. I like to think while Haymitch still uses it to be short and blunt, even he uses it in gentler contexts during softer moments. Please see something like: “The baby’s real cute. You and the Kid did alright, sweetheart...”
Peeta, Katniss, and Haymitch all eventually move out of the Victor’s Village because of the negative connotation it carries. I like to think that Peeta and Katniss help build Haymitch a cottage/a house first before they do their own- sort of as a way to thank him for all he’s done for them.
Along those lines, Peeta and Katniss eventually settle down in a place that overlooks the Meadow.
Along those lines x2, Haymitch likely makes gruff jests the entire time that they’re only doing so to prevent books/other objects from flying in their open window.
Along those lines x3, Katniss and Peeta also build/restore a cottage that overlooks the lake for longer trips/vacationing purposes. ((And for baby purposes too of course))
Maybe once they move out, the people of Twelve make the decision to bulldoze the entirety of the village down and turn it into something like a greenspace/park. Something gentler and less of a reminder of the chilling past. Such a thing would give even greater depth to “my children don’t know they play on a graveyard.”
Katniss and Peeta never ever do anything related to their past. And while the entirety of Twelve likely understands/doesn’t push for things like ceremonies, recognition, etc, some little things still slip through. They politely yet adamantly refuse.
Effie, Johanna, Annie and her son, Katniss’ Mother, and maybe even Gale all still visit 12 on the occasion, and/or keep in contact to the best of their abilities.
Peeta and Katniss don’t get traditionally married. I headcanon that they toast each other and begin calling each other husband/wife after that. If there is a ceremony for the purpose of say, Effie sjdsjdks, it’s very small and intimate and would likely be done in the Meadow at sunset. And officiated by someone who isn’t connected to the government in any way. Hell, maybe even Haymitch; he simply says a few words, tells them to say their vows, and they murmur sweet mantras before heightening their bond.
After visiting twelve/Haymitch/her “babies” so often, Effie eventually feels compelled to stay. It’s hard for her, what with leaving the life she’s so used to behind, but she cannot deny her draw to what’s really important.
Katniss and Peeta volunteer with children which is what eventually makes Katniss realize it’s safe enough to bring babies of her own into the world. Peeta maybe hosts a cooking class for little nuggets in the bakery for example, and once Katniss sees how he is around children/how happy and content they both feel, she feels safe enough to start trying.
My Friend Needs Help
Hello everyone. A close internet friend of mine is on the brink of being homeless. To my knowledge, she and her family were given an unjust/unfair eviction notice, aka one without prior and proper warning, and without due cause. Due to the Pandemic and other factors, their financial stability is already poor, and the current housing market makes it that much more difficult to find a place to live.
She has put up a gofundme as a last ditch effort to get herself and her family back on their feet. Please do not feel obligated to donate, but at least spreading the word would be very much appreciated.
So not going to lie, I’m still quite unsettled with the events that happened a few nights back. Now, I completely understand that people don’t wish to see any degree of fighting/debating as the world is already chaotic enough, and Tumblr is often used as a place of escape/relaxation.
But please understand in turn that sweeping away an issue that intersects with my identity is also exhausting. I’m just a bit unsettled that my voice was silenced when I was merely attempting a calm, collected conversation. I’m unsettled that LGBT individuals were, to my knowledge, the only ones blocked (especially in light of avoiding homophobic/biphobic claims). And frankly, I’m unsettled that any of this was an issue to begin with.
I wasn’t done talking, nor done explaining the issue at hand. The discussion wasn’t over. And I was cast aside as a “pot-stirrer/drama starter” for attempting to talk through an issue very near to me. It’s just a bit disheartening to be labeled and treated as such, and to watch the more aggressive/insistent individuals carry on like nothing ever happened. Is this not an issue?
In case anyone needs further context-
Omg y’all, so I was walking down by the pond that’s on my apartment’s property. And I just-

Love the anxiety of writing something that’s already been written before but knowing that people love reading the same thing multiple times but feeling like you’re unintentionally copying but knowing that people write similar prompts all the time but feeling like you’re fraudulent regardless but knowing that it’s a fandom commonality but-
Wait stop shut the fuck up-
