started reading 詭行天下 (strange tales under heaven, i suppose?) and because it requires V on jjwxc i expected serious wuxia
but instead i’m getting blatantly tropey, shippy mouse+cat, where we lead off the story with a temporarily-poison-blinded Zhan Zhao needing Bai Yutong to lead him around, along with a couple of kids (they’re Gongsun’s, and i haven’t read the first book in the series which is about him and some guy named Zhao Pu) who really really want them to GET TOGETHER ALREADY
Erya: here’s 2 pages describing Zhan Zhao spilling tea over his fingers and then Bai Yutong slowly wiping it off and taking a sip out of his cup so he wouldn’t spill it again and then Zhan Zhao pondering if it’s an indirect kiss
