We've designed quite a lot of lamps and light fixtures for Disney over the years. This is the "Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs" Stained-Glass Lamp that was designed by Jody in 2002 and released in an edition of 3,500. The hand-assembled glass shade featured a panorama forest scene and the cottage of the Seven Dwarfs. When the light is turned on, the silhouettes of the Dwarfs appear from behind the glass, marching across a log on their way home. When the lamp is off, the dwarfs disappear. #kevinandjody #jodydaily #disneycollectibles @disney_at_home #stainedglass #snowwhite #SoldOut https://www.instagram.com/p/BwEQhX1gzM7/?utm_source=ig_tumblr_share&igshid=19jd7eewaaod
Jody designed this Little Mermaid Stained Glass Lamp back in 2004 for the Disney Catalog. The piece is Art Nouveau-inspired and required some tricky engineering to support the heavy top portion on that skinny tail. you. All cast-bronze and glass, this lamp is another heavy one. #littlemermaid #jodydaily #disneycollectibles #stainedglasslamp #soldout https://www.instagram.com/p/Bw_tbuoAHny/?utm_source=ig_tumblr_share&igshid=1d1nbbkiurphc
"Winnie the Pooh lived in this enchanted forest under the name of Sanders..." Kevin reimagined Pooh's arboreal abode as a stained glass lamp for the Disney Catalog in 2005. For this piece, we tried a new approach for the glass shade. Instead of the "jigsaw puzzle" of glass pieces joined together, a single glass shape formed the mottled green canopy of Pooh's tree. It was the perfect lamp shade to accompany the soft, dreamy scene of the little bear sitting by his campfire. The tiny fire was a secondary light source, embedded with a cluster of small LEDs. You could illuminate the campfire, the tree, or both at the same time. This lamp is one of our personal favorites. #kevinkidney #jodydaily #disney #winniethepooh #stainedglasslamp #soldout https://www.instagram.com/p/BwohMlrgRGn/?utm_source=ig_tumblr_share&igshid=1t7hztbfs1j9o
From the “Night on Bald Mountain” sequence in Walt Disney’s animated classic film Fantasia — our variation on a stained glass lamp: Chernabog had leaded glass wings and glowing eyes. His torso was illuminated from within the mountaintop base. A rare item to find today, only about 200 of these were made in 2002. #soldout #stainedglasslamp #fantasia #kevinkidney #jodydaily #disney #chernabog https://www.instagram.com/p/Bwl5y1qAekk/?utm_source=ig_tumblr_share&igshid=433pj2nahdjk
This "Pinocchio" stained glass lamp, designed by Jody, was released in 2006 in a small edition of only 750. This was part of a larger assortment of Disney collectible items created in the 'Arts & Crafts' style of the turn of the century. Built of richly stained wood and hammered metal, the lamp base supported a shade of wavy glass with metal cut-outs depicting scenes from the animated film based on the illustrations of artist Gustaf Tenggren. The metal cut-outs were designed in two separate layers positioned behind and in front of the glass resulting in dimensional "shadow scenes". It was an idea we came up with after seeing an Indonesian shadow puppet performance, and the results were stunning. We used this 'old world' effect on other lamps to follow. #Pinocchio #stainedglasslamp #KevinKidney #JodyDaily #artsandcrafts #craftsmanstyle #disneycollectibles #soldout https://www.instagram.com/p/BxMnnC6AbbT/?utm_source=ig_tumblr_share&igshid=1s1nbwa29khy8

A delicate “Alice In Wonderland” illuminated figurine designed by Jody for the Disney Catalog in 2003. “Who R U?” An eccentric caterpillar addresses a miniaturized Alice. With handblown glass mushroom tops, cast bronze figures, and some resin components, 1000 of these were made and the edition completely sold out.
