THE BOAT (2018) dir. Winston Azzopardi
Enola Holmes 3
Movies watched in 2026
Enola Holmes (2026, UK/USA)
Director: Philip Barantini
Writer: Jack Thorne (based on the books by Nancy Springer)
Mini-review:
I went in prepared for the worst after seeing the reactions to the movie on social media, but I honestly thought it was entertaining enough. Millie Bobby Brown's spark when playing Enola lights up the film like in the first two installments, and at times the movie doesn't need more to work. That being said, I'll admit I expected more from the visuals and the overall vibe after Philip Barantini signed up for the project. It fell kinda flat in that regard, although it does have some cool scene transitions. So yeah, Enola Holmes 3 is certainly not the best movie in the series, but it's still a serviceable piece of entertainment.

Joe Azzopardi Talks Enola Holmes 3 and the Experience of Working with Millie Bobby Brown, Helena Bonham Carter, and Henry Cavill

In the interview, the actor reflects on the significance of that connection, the appeal of portraying a character he describes as a kind of “Maltese James Bond,” and the experience of sharing the set…
The Boat (2018)
The Boat (2018) A British-Maltese film directed by Winston Azzopardi. Not to be confused with The Boat (2022), which is not a remake at all! Even less so with Das Boot (1981), which is about a submarine. A sailor is trapped in a ghost ship lost in the middle of the Mediterranean. Going into this film, I really wanted to rediscover the pleasure of Triangle (2009) or Ghost Ship (2002). Alas… it’s…
