I'll say it again with Dior's 1947 eggplant-colored Chérie dress, with soft sloped shoulders, neatly buttoned shirtwaist, and a monumental skirt with thirteen yards of pleated fabric padding out the hips but which still looks perky from the mid-calf cut.

I was looking for something in his preferred blues but I just enjoy this Madame Grès shirtwaist dress from 1953, with a black body, big dropped shoulders, and bright red block sleeves. It's such a particular flavor of butch. It's a jocular dress; it's a very formal letterman jacket. I genuinely think he might enjoy it.
