There's roughly a 50/50 split on which little Hermits love Joe's puppet form and which little Hermits are creeped out by it.
When Joe regresses, he either hyperfocuses on a single activity for hours, or gets distracted and rapidly jumps between activities. Both have the same effect, which is him forgetting to eat, drink, or go to the bathroom. He would benefit from having a babysitter, but he keeps forgetting to ask someone.

While regressed, Joe likes to try out art mediums he wouldn't usually try.
After a few of the Hermits opened up about their regression, Joe took to keeping children's books in his collection so he'd have something to entertain them with, should he ever find himself looking after them.
scar, joe, and wels have been known to regress together since they all regress between the ages of 10 and 14. most of the time they just sit together and take turns info dumping.
A big infodump session with friends sounds like so much fun!
How about teenager regress cleo looking after baby Joe?
Absolutely!
-Cleo feels VERY unqualified to look after Joe. (Insert John Mulaney "it's like leaving a horse to babysit a dog" bit)
-However, Cleo is very protective of Joe. She'll never admit it when they're both big again, but if someone so much as looks at him she's ready for violence.
-Joe does a lot of babbling, as one might expect, and Cleo always responds like he's saying actual words.
-Joe loves being read to, and while Cleo playfully pretends she doesn't like to read to him, she actually loves it.
-Despite feeling unqualified, Cleo is actually perfectly capable of keeping Joe safe and happy.
-Sometimes, when Joe isn't in the mood to babble, Cleo will take over doing the talking. It's a very rare occurrence, regressed or not, but when it does happen Joe listens intently. Even if he doesn't always get exactly what they're saying.
-Joe usually isn't very mobile, so Cleo can usually do her own activities while Joe plays with toys. If they want to, that is. Cleo does enjoy playing with him.
-There's been more than one time where Cleo has forgotten she's not human while regressed, only to get upset when she realized. Joe always does his best to comfort her, even if he doesn't understand why she's upset. She's always been ZombieCleo to him, and he wouldn't have her any other way.
-They're completely inseparable when regressed, whether it's just one or both of them. There's been many occasions when Joe has whined and fussed until someone went to find Cleo for him, and Cleo often spams Joe's DMs until he agrees to let her come bully him.
Joe anon again! Joe also has braces for their joints, and sometimes they'll slide them off when they're little because of sensory reasons. Cleo's figured out how to prevent this, by lining the inside of the braces with softer material that's more comfortable!
Joe is always grateful later that Cleo stopped them from taking off the braces, of course. Even if they whine about it in the moment.
