My Uncle Joe was literally Brooke Shields number one fan. He collected everything and did endless collages obsessing over her. I was inspired to do book 1 as a homage to the human ass and exploration of my fetish for asses and with my own ass. Later I met Brooke Shields and she remembered Uncle Joe. Then a week later I'm cramped in a tiny table at an Italian cafe Brooke and her date pic a table by me and Brooke bends over to move the chair to sit. Her perect stinking ass was a foot from my face. While living in New York City 90-95 I went to a Lydia Lunch spoken word event at NYU and slipped her some color xeroxes of book 1 and left her a note in an envelope stating " would you like to see My Stinking Ass?" The next day I got a phone call from the very sultry very sexy voice of Lydia Lunch. She said to me, " Steven I want to see your stinking ass" I was SHOCKED! I invited her over to my East Village apartment. I was a nobody, I just started exhibiting in NYC and just started doing editorial and erotic illustrations for The Advocate, High Society and Hustler.
