Leaving Molly had been the hardest. Well, that was a lie. Leaving Cherry had been so hard that he hadn't even been able to see her in person. He had left a note on her pillow and he was sure that he was going to get his ass kicked for it later. He hadn't been keen on seeing anyone since he turned human again though. No one except for Sadie. She was his constant companion, his right hand, and he owed her everything at this point. But as he hugged his sister, he thought his goodbyes were over. As he drove off, he thought that he was done being separated from the people that he loved. He was wrong.
They ended up choosing a clinic in DC. IT was the closest major city and he didn't want to go anywhere close and risk seeing someone that he knew. He was silent mostly as he drove towards the capitol, not wanting to open his mouth and end up voicing all of his worst fears the moment before Sadie had to undergo days of hell. He had dumped enough on her. She didn't deserve more. But as they drove into the parking lot at the clinic, he regretted the quiet. He had so many things he needed to say to her, and now there wasn't enough time. So instead he just took her hand, staring straight ahead in the driver's seat, and asked, "You ready?"
