Joel & Scarlett
Scarlett had never expected herself to fall in love with the man she had been forced to marry. In fact, she expected herself to resent him for taking away the beauty that married life should bring. And yet here she was, two and a half years after her and Joel had said ‘I do’, and their relationship was better. Of course it had taken time for them to get to know one another, but Scarlett had kept an open mind, and discovered that Joel had a very kind heart; he was a good man.
The two weren’t actively trying for a baby - just they had made the decision to stop using protection, and if it happened, it happened. Scarlett was two months late though, and unable to shake the thought any longer, she purchased a pregnancy test and took it that afternoon. And sure enough, it came back positive.
