Imagine being able to speak to ghosts. You’ve been able to your whole life, but people treated you weirdly for it so you learned to keep it to yourself.
Then, over the course of two years, it starts happening more. A LOT more. The ghosts are your friends and they’re pretty exciting but you have a lot more to lose now that you’re 15 and have a place at a prestigious school that you care about a lot.
And then, on the first day of your third year, a boy shows up. And his eyes are bright like crystals and he’s beautiful and he has a ghost that follows him around. You meet, and can’t help from staring into one another’s eyes, to the point where you realise you’ve accidentally been holding hands since you shook. You both say it feels like you’ve met before, it’s uncanny. You can both see the ghosts and talk to them, and he’s so comfortable with it that it makes you more comfortable with it too.
I would be obsessed with him too. And Judai’s friends had the audacity to be mad at him for wanting to spend a lot of time with Johan.
