not sure who Rainer is, but I love this quote from a biblical perspective. on their way to Gethsemane, Jesus focused His ministry to His disciples before He was arrested. He said,

"I have said these things to you, that in me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation. But take heart; I have overcome the world." (John 16:33 ESV, emphasis added)
