there’s something sweet about how father garcia repeatedly calls john by his first name and “hijo”, which we all know is the spanish version of “son”. john never grew up with his father and his mother died which made him an orphan since likely before he could talk, and garcia being the first person to actually tell john that he is proud of him and that he is strong even when john doesn’t believe that himself is beautiful. can you tell i love john and garcia
