If anyone ever asks you to explain the excesses of the 1980s to them just point them at this film#What do you get when you cross Stephen King's incredible contemporary success with a large amount of hubris and an even larger#Cocaine addiction? You get this. A hot mess of a film that King has since described as 'a moron movie'. He isn't wrong. Intermittently fun#But with a surprising amount of downtime for a film about murderous trucks. King famously never directed again. Make of that what you will#Worth it for a brief appearance by a baby Gus Fring rocking a lot of eyeliner and getting electrocuted by an evil arcade machine#Yeardley Smith (better known as the voice of Lisa Simpson) is apparently deeply ashamed of this film but like. It isn't humiliating or evil#Or controversial. Its just incredibly stupid. I mean it's a movie about killer trucks. It was never going to be smart#Oof that poster tho. King really trying to sell his image as a modern day puppet master or something. Cocaine is a hell of a drug kids
