Admirals' edition 😅😂🤣
...yeah, this is one of those drawings that I had as an idea for a looooooong time (yet only managed to draw it now lmaosob 🥲😩💀) but anyway! The dessert Sammy Lee is having is an Indonesian dessert (from the province Riau, to be exact) named Es Laksamana Mengamuk, which translated word for word into English means... Angry Admiral Ice*(!) LMAO 🤣🤣🙈
(*speaking of the translation, perhaps it's even more accurate to write it as "Raging/Wrathful Admiral Ice" but y'know, yours truly couldn't resist alliteration 🤣🙈)
It is made of sliced mangoes, soaked chia seeds, coconut milk and brown sugar syrup (with ice to tie them all together ofc 😏😉). It is especially popular during the holy month of Ramadan, where everyone will be looking for this dessert to break their fast 😺

MY SCRUNGLY UNION SAILORS AAAAALSKDJDNFDJFJDJFKFNJ
So a while ago I was lamenting about why no one seemed to have not yet thought of colorizing any of Farragut's photos — there were plenty of hi-res photos of him readily available from either Wikimedia or LOC website, so what gives?
(though a little later, someone helpfully pointed out to me that some people had, in fact, thought of colorizing a few photos of him)...
(with thanks to @joachimnapoleon 😆🙈)
Now I am glad to have come across these photos especially since my google-fu sucks big time 💀💀🔥 but when I said I was spoiled when I came across colorized John A. Dahlgren photos, I mean I was SPOILED
(I MEAN JUST LOOK AT HOW GOOD THIS COLORIZATION(!!!) IS AJSKGJFLKFLFKDKDLDLLDLDL AAAAAAAAAA)
(The same photo but with a slightly more stylistic colorization palette (still digging it tbh 😆🙈🙈))
(The colorizer said that this was a practice of sorts but damn if this isn't a good one 😲😲)
In the end, I guess all I wanted to say is that I have been thoroughly spoiled (and in return had my expectation set a little too high 🙃🥲) in this regard of looking at colorized US Navy admiral photos...
IYKYK 😏
