Matt Gertz at MMFA:
Fox News did not air a second of the speeches from alienated GOP leaders and former Trump officials who endorsed Vice President Kamala Harris at this week’s Democratic National Convention. The DNC speakers included former Illinois Rep. Adam Kinzinger, who spoke in prime-time before Harris’ Thursday keynote; former Georgia Lt. Gov. Geoff Duncan; former Trump White House press secretary Stephanie Grisham; Olivia Troye, who served as a homeland security aide to former Vice President Mike Pence; and Mesa, Arizona, Mayor John Giles.
MSNBC and CNN treated those speeches as newsworthy, airing each of them in full, according to a Media Matters review of the networks’ convention coverage. But Fox hid the content of all of those speeches from their viewers, often displaying the video on screen without audio as the network’s on-air hosts and guests offered commentary. It’s not hard to figure out why: Fox is a Trumpist propaganda organ that helped the former president purge the GOP of his critics and is working tirelessly to return him to the White House. The network typically shies away from highlighting dissension in the party’s ranks. Fox virtually ignored former Vice President Mike Pence’s refusal to endorse Trump and former House Speaker Paul Ryan’s denunciation of the former president as “unfit for office” — both of which originated in Fox interviews.
Guess which network refused to show speeches from Republicans and former Trump supporters that spoke at the DNC? It’s GOP propaganda outlet Faux “News.”

Three Republicans took the Democratic National Convention stage to rebuke their party’s leader and urge Republicans to support Vice President Kamala Harris in the 2024 presidential election.
One of the Republican speakers was former Trump White House press secretary Stephanie Grisham, who in her speech said Trump has “has no empathy, no morals and no fidelity to the truth.”
Grisham resigned from her position as former first lady Melania Trump’s chief of staff on Jan. 6, 2021, after the violent insurrection on Capitol Hill.
Grisham followed another former Trump supporter on stage, Kyle Sweetser, along with a video compilation of interviews with former Trump voters who now plan to cast their ballots for Harris.
“I voted for Trump not once, not twice, but three times,” Sweetser said.
Sweetser said he works in construction and was drawn to Trump’s promise to “look out for blue-collar workers.”
“But then I started to see Trump’s tariff policy in action. Costs for construction workers like me were starting to soar. I realized Trump wasn’t for me. He was for lining his own pockets,” he said.
“Now I’m not left-wing, period. But I believe our leaders should bring out the best in us, not the worst. That’s why I’m voting for Kamala Harris,” Sweetser said.
John Giles, the mayor of Mesa, Arizona, also spoke Tuesday night. Giles, a self-described “lifelong Republican,” made headlines in July when he broke with his party and endorsed Harris.

MESA, AZ (AZFamily) — When the second day of the Democratic National Convention gets underway Tuesday, Arizona will be represented on the stage.
Among the scheduled speakers for day two of the DNC in Chicago is Mesa’s Republican Mayor John Giles, who’s expected to cross party lines and speak in support of Harris.
It’s not clear exactly what time Mayor Giles will take the stage, but the DNC will take place from 4 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday.
BREAKING
John Giles, the Republican mayor of Mesa, AZ announced he is endorsing Kamala Harris for President: "Our party used to stand for the belief that every Arizonan, no matter their background or circumstances, should have the freedom, opportunity and security to live out their American Dream.
But since Donald Trump refused to accept the outcome of the 2020 election, Republicans have yet to course correct. The Republican Party with Trump at its helm continues down the path of political extremism, away from focusing on our fundamental freedoms...
In the spirit of the late Sen. John McCain’s motto, “Country First,” I call on other Arizona Republicans to join me in choosing country over party this election and to vote against Donald Trump."
Despite criticism on her handling of border policy, Vice President Kamala Harris scored an endorsement from Mayor John Giles, the Republican
