Seeing as Stabler is a sore loser and is obviously gonna nark I wonder what John and Elizabeth's next role is gonna be.
Oh, that’s interesting. I hadn’t thought about that.
Pullman isn’t a sore loser so much as he is persistent, which I guess can be the same thing when you should just give up. But, we know he won’t do that. He’s vengeful, looking to exact revenge for Ben.
The thing is, he’s not exactly in anyone’s good books. Who is going to help him, trust him, even believe him if he rats on John and Elizabeth? The Hawkes pinned everything on Kyle; all evidence of participating in the Railroad points to him. Pullman has nothing but his word against the Hawkes. Not even Patty Cannon trusts him to work with her, because the runaways escaped him multiple times and then he shot her men. This will no doubt tarnish if not totally destroy his reputation as a slave catcher. Pullman can snitch if he wants, but it won’t do much. He’s a pariah now. I think his focus will be on going after Rosalee, alone, since there’s not much else he can do.
So where does that leave John and Elizabeth? There’s no doubt in my mind they’re going to continue helping slaves reach freedom. Throughout the entire first season, you see the lengths they’re willing to go to and the risks they’re willing to take to do the right thing. Since we’ve only seen them really getting into the swing of things last season, next season they’ll probably play a much larger role in helping operate the Railroad. They know what they’re doing now. The stakes will be higher the more involved they become. This will be an issue especially if it turns out Elizabeth is pregnant (my own theory) and especially if there is a new threat to their security.
But I don’t think that threat will be Pullman.
