hey there! 

So in my original bio for John I wrote during Bingley’s previous run, I had that John works part time at bright + beautiful boutique! tbh retail is nOT his thing and he’s not a fan of dealing with customers (so obviously this is the perfect job for him haha!). I do think he knows how to put on his “customer service face” and he’s a hard worker who does put pride in his work (even if this isn’t his thing) but i do think he likes to both joke around and complain when customers aren’t around haha! Not sure what you think Greta would think of him as an employee? If you don’t think she’d keep him around, I’m also cool with him doing something especially stupid and getting fired, b/c I could absolutely see that happening too haha

omg so idk what hannah thinks of john but … he really likes her!!!!! I think he’s probably had a crush on her for awhile now and, at first, he definitely tried to play it cool and subtle but tbh idk that he really knows how to be eiTHER of those things and there’s a 95% chance that all of bingley (including hannah) knows he has feelings for her #facepalm

so yeah he probably teases her like “one day you are going to fall for me too!” or whatever but it’s just a joke and he doesn’t think that she will ever really see him in ~that way (probably also has no idea that she has a crush on his roommate levi tho)

when john is in the room, you know it!!!! 

can be sooo dramatic 

(idk what you expected he is an actor)

and honestly super petty when it comes to people he doesn’t like

some jake peralta mixed with john mulaney vibes???? 

the sass is strong with this one

his fav tv shows are odr, lor, parks and rec, and the unbreakable kimmy schmidt 

quotes them all obsessively 

drives levi crazy when he marathons lor tbh (which makes john enjoy watching it all the same)

never feels the cold and jokes says that he’s probably a dragon rider

is always super supportive of them!!!! 

honestly never gets jealous of his friends (but definitely gets jealous of his enemies) 

100% comfortable in who he is 

is v aware and accepting of his flaws 

doesn’t care if you don’t like him tbh

knows how to act civil and work professionally with people he doesn’t like but will 100% bitch about them behind their back 

will always be up for hanging out with his friends but mostly on his days off you will find him at home playing video games

don’t bother making plans w/ him, however, on days when a new game comes out that he’s been looking forward to (plan on not seeing him at all for at least 3 days) 

takes a lot of pride in his work and it grates on him when people don’t care!!!!!! 

the number 1 thing that he hates in this business is how people in this business get ahead b/c of who they know and it isn’t always about the quality of their work 

all that being said, he definitely has a sense of humor while at work!!! 

loves to joke around and laugh!!!!!!!!

thinks you can take it seriously and still have fun with it 

has a tERRIBLE DIET

lives on pizza, burgers, fries, and fried pickles tbh

occasionally he will mix it up and have a sandwich 

everyone at work hates him b/c he can eat like that and never exercise and he’s still a stick, somehow 

super hardworking!!!! 

definitely has a life plan and wants to move to NY after he’s gotten a few solid years of experience under his belt 

would love to eventually be on broadway!!!!!!

has considered, too, a potential career in film/tv and heading out to LA instead 

but wherever he goes from here, he knows that that move won’t be easy, even with a good resume, and is already starting to plan for his future 

got a part time job working odd hours at bright and beautiful to make some extra money on the side

tbh complains a lot about it (especially about working with difficult customers) but he doesn’t hate it as much as he says he does

despite showing sign of maturity in some areas, is definitely super childish in others??? 

his favorite movie is still aladdin

will do just about anything for some cherry starbursts

makes a lot of “title of your sex tape” jokes

takes too many buzzfeed quizzes

(makes his friends take them too)

has a lab named rose (after roselie l’archer from odr who is one of his favorite characters)

likes hugs 

especially likes to give his grumpy friends hugs for the reaction

likes going to the movies but will nOT go to just see anything 

you will nEVER catch him going to see a horror film (they’re terrifying!!!)
