Shakespearian Sonnet- Why Do We Smile Tonight? Very proud of this one
This very second our life slips out of our hands
Not once has the reaper ever played to our demands
However, we have not obeyed one single command
Life and death a simple cut of a band
He waits realizing nothing has gone as he planned
Inhale and exhale to prove to he we continue to stand
We are dying yet we can breath, hear, and feel the sand
He is a servant not to be considered so grand
Death, the only truth known to every man
Neither of us can fathom how much we may withstand
In due time we will reach out for his trustworthy hand
Death is the only thing we are told beforehand
We know the date is unplanned
So why do we smile tonight when we all will be hanged
