okay actually the tachikawa nib holder is goated (maybe i just think that because i’ve been using kinda dogshit used antique nib holders and those plastic speedball ones that G nibs slip out of up until now lmao)

i think it’s cool that it has a cap so u can leave the nib on without worry about it getting dull or poking ur hand on it also. rlly smart design i like it ^w^

Broke out my collection of pen nibs and cursing myself for not storing them properly lol

I just left some of them covered in ink without even wiping them off before putting them up. wtf is wrong with me 😭

Cleaned em all and miraculously they all work just fine. They haven't been touched in well over a decade, I don't know how they're still fine, but I'm not gonna complain!

I actually completed TWO Bristol board pieces for my portfolio this holiday weekend.

After the monkey painting I decided to practice with my new dip pen. I went with the squid of course, and when I was done with my line work I had fun flipping the pen around and using the top to waste some of my India ink.

This earned a place in the portfolio because I’m trying to make sure each piece focuses on a different technique or medium. I’m now obsessed with the dip pen and wanted to chronicle my first real project with it.
