Speaking my truth that Alex Meyers has never been a good film reviewer. Are there worse ones on youtube? Absolutely. But I've never seen anyone not on the right-wing grift suck the life out of a film so thoroughly. The fact that his recaps, because that's what they are anyway not genuine critiques, make the movies sound so BORING should be a crime. Not to mention that his jokes are usually ass anyway.
And the thing is I'm not a hate watcher or anything. His videos pop up on my recommended maybe once a month. But his latest video was recommended and so I wanted to see what his thoughts were on Obsession since I genuinely liked that movie. Holy Missing The Point Batman! I'm not sure why I was expecting some brilliant commentary. But in the Year of Our Lord 2026, can we agree that if you aren't funny or talented enough to find the light in a film that has heavy themes but also comedic beats ingrained in the story, you should just skip out on making that "review"?
