Listen/purchase: 霧 Mist - Limited Edition 2018 by U.TA 屋塔
U.TA 屋塔 cast another beautiful spell! =D
This is a different arrangement of a song from their Twig_s 3-song ep from late last year. Not sure if that was an official release or a demo ep, but they have now remade 2 of the songs as Limited Edition 2018 singles. Those are both available at bandcamp, while Twig_s is up on SoundCloud.
Last week we posted a short MV version of this song titled It’s You (YouTube link). And we’ve also posted the Limited Edition 2018 single for the song 香XIANG (bandcamp link) that came out in July. The Twig_s ep version at SoundCloud is called 香 / Flavor. The ep versions are much more of an electronica style.
So if we’re keeping score, heh-heh, that’s 3 different versions of 霧 (aka Mist, aka It’s You). EP, Limited Edition single, and the short MV.
Okay, ignore the previous confusing explanation and enjoy a live clip from April in Chengdu; the band are playing the song 香XIANG, and this arrangement is much closer to the July single than the earlier ep:
At SoundCloud, they tagged the song ‘Drum & Bass’, and you can really hear it in 莊韜 Tao JC Chuang’s tricky drum pattern. 魚雷 Urayn Uta-voc/gtr, John Lu-gtr, and 呂丈夫 Garry Lu-bass round out the band.
