“You broke the bonds/And you loosed the chains/Carried the cross...” U2′s “I Still Haven’t Found What I’m Looking For” is a rock song with a spiritual message. I saw them perform it (with a gospel choir) at Madison Square Garden. This St. Patrick’s Cathedral photo was taken during the season of Advent, which leads to Christmas. It is now the season of Lent, leading to Holy Week and Easter. Violet is the Liturgical Color of both Advent and Lent. One of my favorite Lenten songs is “Hosea,” written by Gregory Norbet and sung by John Michael Talbot: “Come back to Me with all your heart/Don’t let fear keep us apart...” (Photo taken on December 4, 2017)
