The Go-Betweens - Right Here | A Film by Kriv Stenders
brisbane, 1988 An interview from that remarkably brief moment between their first sweet shades of radioland ascendancy and the far more interesting fragmentation which was soon to follow. It's stuck with me only because of how off it is: Forster is quiet, with the embalmed demeanor of a magazine model, McLennan says his piece with an undercurrent of bullish superiority, and one-album-only recruit John Wilsteed, an old acquaintance and veteran of the same scene from which they sprung, seems like a perfectly amiable bloke. None of these things have anything to do with any of the figures' well-documented personalities.
