Number 3 from the little one prompts for Nick and Nora! 🥺❤️
ahhh nick x nora babies! thanks for requesting alya~ pretty much everyone gets a turn with baby naomi.
author’s note: this took a somewhat unexpected turn at the end and i did my best not to spoil my nick x nora fic wip but there’s lots of hints and the relationships between the cast. hope you all enjoy! copyright: all characters, except the oc and oc button, are owned by jo o’connor @mindblindbard. series/pairing: mind blind – nick wiseman x f!oc (nora mcconnell); minor kent zarneki x nb!button (jasmine rose wiseman) rating/warnings: 14+; swearing and terrible jokes, but mostly fluff based on/prompt: little one // 3. Holding the little one for the first time. word count: 1.2k summary: nora gives birth and nick holds their little one for the first time.
exhausted wouldn’t even begin to describe how nora felt after thirteen hours of labor and a panicked, anxious husband who would not stop telling jokes no matter how much she begged him to do anything else. even now, despite the fact that she was settled in her room and the nurse would bring the baby by any minute, nick was rattling out yet another dad joke.
she finally let out a deep, heavy sigh and turned to nick. “there was a dad who tried to keep his wife happy through labor by telling jokes, but she didn't laugh once. know why?”
The hope we need is realistic – not wishful thinking, denial or delay disguised as naïve optimism.
Accelerating the transition to a just and resilient zero-carbon future remains humanity’s most urgent task. Scientific evidence about global warming trends already locked in is, however, crystal clear: humans and all other species are on a journey into an increasingly harsh climate future.
This realisation raises two tough questions, which led me to begin work on my new book, Hope and Courage in the Climate Crisis:
- what sources of hope and wisdom can strengthen our capacity to take courageous and effective climate action?
- how do we live meaningful lives in a world of rapidly intensifying climate and ecological risks?
There are times when I imagine all the ideas and voices I have drawn on – scientists and activists, teachers and writers, poets and artists – gathered in respectful and intense debate. The conversations spark and crackle with fierce, urgent energy.
I can see at least seven things I should’ve done differently, so in the grand tradition of telling my perfectionism to go screw itself, here! I forgot to put any grey in John’s hair or any noticeable age markers on his face, so let’s just...pretend he’s aging incredibly well.
You left first.
I didn’t ask for this.
Family Angst continuation! (Ft. Father and (lost) son)
John Wiseman- An Odd Collection(Album Review)
John Wiseman is an electronic artist from Hatfield, UK. An Odd Collection is his latest project released August of last year. It's an instrumental project that ranges from energetic, to calm and contemplative to a sound that's bit visceral. It all comes together for an album well worth giving a listen too.
As far as the Instrumentation on these tracks one can expect brightly textured synths, drum machines, occasional vocoder vocals and digitized guitar tones in there as well. All these elements come through in different ways but all still have synergy. "Ants" sets the tone, with high energy, pounding percussion and neon-tinted synths. "Swing The Jazz" is a quirky track that has a horn sound in there and a bit of jazz swing but is juxtaposed with interstellar electronics. "Chasing Bad Guys" is another highlight a hard-hitting piece of work with driving synths and guitars almost has montage vibe to it. Transversely, there are cuts like "Solace Time" probably the most ambient instrumental on the album. Ultimately the best track is final one "Dreaming Of The Cosmos" it has that intergalactic feel and because of it's atmosphere it's a little more engaging and immersive than previous records on the project.
In the end, I enjoyed An Odd Collection it featured different sounds and ideas but they all still flow together nicely. There were times I thought the production could be a little cleaner, sharper but other than that I think it's a collection worth giving a listen too, particularly if you're looking for a new electronic project to dive into.

dni if you have two shitzus with greek mythology names, if you're an amazing older brother who bakes cookies for your younger sibling, if you can naturally recite clueless at a movie night with your childhood best friend, if you scowl to the point where kindergarten teachers would warn of your face permanently freezing that way, if you like star trek and would drink a princess berry butterfly blast, if you are a british cookie monster who listens to disney songs and abba, if you draw brooms on the walls of subway stations with a weird mask on, if you make your children watch home videos of their births each holiday, and if you wear a black apron with jack skellington from a nightmare before christmas on it from your husband
