incredibly normal thing to say to your wife during an argument
from you never give me your money: the beatles after the breakup by peter doggett, p. 198
PLEASEEEEE draw john getting pegged (according to this picture 😋 https://pin.it/2YrzKnvHc), tops deserve this service too!
this is currently a paul mccartney mine, but i will make one exception because tops deserve this service too ( • ̀ω ⁃᷄)✧ thank you for the ref!
[the rest of this drawing has been expatriated to ao3 for its safety]
(previous pegging. approximate current answering delay: 1.5 months _(:з」∠)_ )
ok WHERE is that yoko quote about yes im your angel where she makes a joke about the “you’re my fairy” line. i have a need for it.
They showed this clip in The Lost Bass doc, and I got to wondering if Paul was trying to catch someone's eye when he says the last 'get back.' Gasped when I realized Yoko was in his line of sight. Maybe John was paranoid but I'm paranoid too #sorry!
Relevant quote (w/ David Sheff, 1980):
LENNON: "I've always thought there was this underlying thing in Paul's 'Get Back.' When we were in the studio recording it, every time he sang the line 'Get back to where you once belonged,' he'd look at Yoko." PLAYBOY: "Are you kidding?" LENNON: "No. But maybe he'll say I'm paranoid."
HAIII JOE it me ashe umm i have question
so like i really wanna watch beatles films in the upcoming year and would love some suggestions!! doesn’t necessarily have to be from The Beatles themselves!! It could just be a movie about them, movies they starred in, maybe about Brian Epstein, or their partners or the individual beatle, doesn’t matter!!
would love a list if you can recommend any!! ^.^
HIII ASHEEE
honestly i am no expert when it comes to the beatles movies im just a crazy person with more free time cus of winter break and whatever LOL
BUTTT for suggestions i do have a couple: btw i pirated all of these movies so i have no direct streaming service for all of them HELP
midas man (2024)
midas man follows the pov of brian epstein as their manager, from the very start of his career to the end. theres much more of a focus on brian here, chalking up a lot of their success to the struggles of brians managing. i personally really enjoyed the film but i cant claim on its accuracy (plus blake richardson…..holy droolfest over here)
two of us (2000)
THE mclennon movie. directed by michael lindsay-hogg (the guy who LITERALLY directed let it be and MANY many beatles music videos) its a fictionalized telling of john and pauls fabled last in person meeting before he was killed. its a quieter movie and just follows the two of them spending the day together figuring out how to smooth out their connection post beatles breakup.
nowhere boy (2009)
i havent seen this one yet BUT its about johns younger years and his struggles and trauma growing up, alongside the development of the quarrymen and later the beatles.
the hours and times (1991)
i also havent seen this one but it tells a fictionalized story about what may have happened between john and brian on their trip to spain (WHICH SHOULDVE BEEN IN MIDAS MAN💔💔)
the linda mccartney story (2000)
another one i have yet to watch and it apparently follows the story of linda and her rise into the beatles scene (but reviews say otherwise) im gonna be honest i only know this movie cus of the mclennon gifs i saw but im still gonna watch it later LOL
yesterday (2019)
i remember seeing ads about this before i was a beatles fan and i was quite intrigued (still havent seen this tho) it follows an alternate universe where the beatles had never existed and this struggling musician is the only one who remembers them.
the myriad of movies that john and yoko made
there were quite a few of these, the notable ones being rape (1969) and fly (1970). i havent seen these myself but their work was huge for the avant garde scene.
HOPEFULLY THATS A WELL COMPILED LIST LOL now its my turn to watch all of these movies myself..
