This image of Brody was taken 30 seconds into his very first photo shoot ever. Brody was very nervous. When I showed him the images on the camera screen he was over the moon with how they were looking. It gave him the confidence to continue. Brody told me that his mum had been telling him for ages to get some photos done for modelling. I'm so grateful Brody put his trust in me. We have done some amazing shoots, achieving extraordinary results. One of the hardest things to do on my shoots is to look into the sun and smile. The sun is very strong and lights up the body beautifully but very hard to look into. That's one of the reasons why you see the models looking away or not smiling. Guillaume did very well to smile while looking into the sun. FLASH BACK FRIDAY Taken back in the late 80's while learning my photography skills at QLD College Of Art. Melanie is one of my dearest friends. We use to shoot all the time. I think Mel is channeling Alexis Carrington with a touch of Madonna in this shot. When I first started to photograph Mel she was still at school. Her mother Michelle was very concerned about who was this man who is photographing her beautiful daughter until she met me. She thought her daughter was very safe with me. I ended up becoming great friends with Mel's mum Michelle, her Aunty Jan and her granny Jeanie. Lots of great times involving food, booze, playing records, tragic relationships, theatre tickets and lots of fun parties. Sadly Michelle and Jeanie are no longer with us but I will always cherish those moments.
