DOC HOLLIDAY ↷ WYNONNA EARP 1.09: BURY ME WITH MY GUNS ON.
Important Fact
John Henry Holliday and his mother were extremely close and she strove to make him a gentleman. He and his father were not near as close and young John Henry was often rebellious towards his father. His mother fell very ill with what some say was tuberculosis or as it was known in those days, consumption. She died from her illness on September 16, 1866 and it hit young John Henry hard. He grew angrier and more rebellious towards his father, especially after he remarried only three months after his first wife’s death.
This rebelliousness mixed with a gentlemanly demeanour continued as he grew older and would increase when he also fell ill with tuberculosis….but that’s a fact for another day.
