Okay- so this took me hours. I don't know how Jhonen Vasquez does it, but making a heavily inspired page and mimicking his art style made me appreciate his work even more.

Jhonen's work is truly amazing. All of it.

Old and new. So drawing this made me even more fascinated at his skill and unique and diverse style.

This also made me realize how time consuming it can be to make something wonderful, and it was a reminder to not rush (in a way- I don't know where I'm going with this honestly!)

Btw this is my self insert JTHM sona. Of course her name is Emma- that's my name 🖤

I mentioned before but just in case it wasn't clear, the comic is a mimic of Jhonen’s style and comic series: Johnny the Homicidal Maniac (credits to Jhonen for the entire inspiration, characters, etc.)

I really enjoyed mimicking his style. It's not a type of style you see every day-even in today's world with millions of artists. I also know that by copying other styles, I can grow in more areas with my skills and apply what I learned to my own work. <3
