Harvest Monday: The Winter Garden in San Diego

This years's lime harvest is scant--less than a dozen from the potted tree on my patio. Last year the count was near three dozen. Who's to know why? Is there a root pruning and repotting ahead?

Thankfully, there's still a jar or two of the lime-ginger marmalade remaining.

One of the dozens of navel oranges we picked this week made it to the Saturday smoothie along with a persimmon.

Near sunset I hastily gathered a few additions to the stir-fry I had planned for dinner last night.

The first broccoli stir-fry of the season was memorable. Never a moment's doubt--all of the work in the garden is worth it.
