Yo what’s UP

It’s been a hot minute. Bet you guys forgot i existed. If anyone even follows me anymore. After making my finsta, i feel like i haven’t needed an outlet like tumblr, since I’m not really active in an aesthetic community or whatever this site is used for any more.

Life is fucking crazy, folks.

So essentially the past months have been emotional rollercoasters, but here’s what came out of it:

•got to play Azdak in The Caucasian Chalk Circle by Bertolt Brecht, which was a blast and a half

•directed Gidion’s Knot for our Underground season, which my professors all had really nice things to say. Some friends of mine were less supportive than others, which I’ve been carrying around since the show closed, but I’m leaving the haters behind in junior year!!!

•i got accepted for my dream internship for the summer!!! An found out that I’m directing a #lit show with them with the most advanced students which is hype

•I’M DIRECTING PETER AND THE STARCATCHER ON THE MAINSTAGE NEXT YEAR. MARCH 21-24. MARK IT IN YOUR CALENDARS, FOLKS.

Meanwhile:

•this week i go into my last acting auditions of my college career. High stress. I wanna play Edward Tulane SO BADLY.

•waiting on the decision for fall’s Underground. I proposed Small Mouth Sounds and Reckless. Hopefully one gets picked.

Anyway I might come back again. Maybe not. We’ll see.

So I’ve become emotionally invested in a children’s TV show

alright so I binge-watched seasons 1 & 2 of Girl Meets World the past few days and honestly, I’m a fan. The first few episodes were awkward and cheesy but once the writers and actors got into the rhythm of the new characters, the team developed a really nice story. I really need new episodes on Netflix tho. ALSO I really need for this show to break the 100-episode cycle that is apparently common for Disney shows because Boy Meets World’s most successful episodes, in my opinion, were the later ones. Of course, children’s television today can’t really venture into the waters that BMW wound up wading into, but I crave the drama. I thrive on it

PS I full-on sobbed during one of the episodes and had to remind myself that this is a comedy written for young teens/tweens

Why haven't I been around?

If you saw my few posts from the past week, you would've seen that I've been abroad in London, Florence, and Rome for the past few weeks. BUT I'M BACK.
