firstly, i highly recommend you watch it from the beginning. not just for richard. it is an a+ show with a+ writing and a+ acting. the first four seasons are spectacular. the s1 - s4 casts are still my favorite because i loved all the characters dearly. i still enjoy the show, but from s5 onward i have to deal with the bad taste ros myers leaves. i think mostly it stems from her background/general approach to life. you may not have as many issues with her as i do - hermione norris is a fabulous actress, so props to her for eliciting such a strong response to her performance. i am currently the only person i know of who's watched the show and doesn't care for her, so odds are it'll be more fun for you.

and don't get me started on lucas north. oh boy.
