Ugh. This kid. He didn’t even need to turn around to see who it was; just the sound of her voice caused something inside of him to recoil in revulsion. After all, it was her fault he was in this sort of situation in the first place, biting and scratching and crawling in order to live whatever the hell he was calling his life now. She was the one who had absolutely wrecked everything they had fought for- the very thing that he and countless others had devoted years upon years of their own goddamn lives to. Just because some little runt of a bleeding heart didn’t agree with what they were doing. Honestly, one of the Executive’s biggest regrets was just not offing the girl before she became a problem. He had a chance back in Slowpoke Well, when she was still weak. But because he was an arrogant son of a bitch, he let things slide, underestimating both her abilities and irritating tenacity terribly.

"The hell do you mean by that, huh?" Proton hissed, his tone a bit more bitter than he had originally intended. "Last I checked, I was standing here. You planning on taking away my freedom, too? Not like I have much left at this point.”
