ok now i've had this in my brain for a long while, but i decided to hold off a bit. i think now is a good time though.
i have a problem with miracide's art.
ok maybe not in the way of how its presented because art is a very subjective thing but-
i have an issue with the content within miracide's art.
now why do i say this? well in case you are unaqcuainted, miracide creates nsfw art mostly of jojo characters.
well thats fine enough. the issue comes in when she draws this nsfw art of (and here is where i'm sure i'll lose some of you) characters who are under 18.
quick tangent- i know many of you antiantis like to give the argument that "it happened in the show anyways!!" i find this statement to be highly stupid. as something like the 'golden succ' scene is played for comedy, miracide (and other artists) draw shit like they do for arousal.
now why would i have an issue with this?
i mean, besides how fucked it is to draw nsfw of minors in the context in which mira does, i'm saying here- how and why do i feel like i am personally affected by this?
here's why. take a character like pannacotta fugo. he is 16, depicted in canon (and in mira's art) with light skin, and many headcanon him as lgbtq in some way or another.
well. i am 16, white, and queer. i. am. underaged. and i dont think i can make that any more clear.
and when pannacotta fugo, a character who in many ways is like myself, is sexualized?? well, i'm sure i don't have to make that connection for you.
this rant doesnt have to be just about miracide though, it applies to many many many artists who draw shit like this and i hold the same gripes with it.
