Why are all the soaps so emotional tonight?
I've been through a box of tissues with Hollyoaks and Eastenders. Coronation Street better not be the same.
Hollyoaks was amazing. I'm so glad George has been reunited with his family but I don't want him to leave the village and the show. Does anyone know if Steven Roberts (who plays him) is leaving? Scarlett and Laurie were fantastic as always too. I love that the show isn't just focusing on all of the sixth form gang as a whole anymore, they're branching off and exploring the relationships between the different characters but I can't wait for the gang to be back together to have some really good scenes, and I can't wait for them to return to Abersoch!
Eastenders was amazing too, right? So pleased Tanya got the all clear and when Lauren, Tanya and Max hugged I just bawled my eyes out. I felt so sorry for Tanya having doubts that the cancer would return, it's understandable and I'm so glad that the show didn't just show her celebrating the fact she'd got the all clear and it showed that she was nervous about it returning too.
The final scene where she walked into the living room (like a mad woman I may add) and started ripping up the sofa made me laugh out loud. People were wondering what she was doing and doing what she did was a momentous thing to do because she wanted rid of all the bad memories and to forget the nights she'd sat there, in the living room, on the sofa wondering whether she was going to die or not. I thought it was a poignant scene too and Jo Joyner has done the entire storyline justice, just like she does with everything she does.
