rise tried to stay focused on the odd structure of the dark, dark place she’d ended up in, tried to find security in the fact that someone would come to save her -- surely ... hopefully, tried to find comfort in the persona she still carried, still possessed ; perhaps her persona was the reason she was here, surrounded by eeriness. no matter which route she took, which direction she went, an exit was nowhere to be seen. frustrating. just what exactly was this place ? there was no time for further thinking, the sight she was greeted with upon taking another mindless turn having her brown doe eyes grow wide. a ... fight ? a  masked human ? a persona ? nothing about this made sense ; too many confusing pieces to match at this moment. she could tell the stranger was struggling in his fight and rise did not hesitate to step closer, suddenly unafraid, brave.    ‘  want me to lend you a hand ?  ’

Just gotta keep it up...

Miyu groaned as she clutched her head as she made her way through Shujin’s halls. With Kamoshida gone it was finally a chance for the other sports clubs to shine: and Miyu wanted to waste no time in capitalizing on it! How long had it been since she had been able to enjoy sports with that man around? Archery, kendo, lacross: oh, what if Shujin could somehow get an American football team? Come on Miyu, one at a time...

She clutched her head again, trying to block out her headache. So maybe she wasn’t eating just enough and overexerting herself just a little: all the great athletes had to suffer a bit to get to where they were.

“Ngghhh...”

Maybe she should have eaten something after practice.

She grasped the water fountain for support, taking a few deep breaths as she splashed water on her face: between the clutching and lack of balance the girl was clearly physically unwell. Just some water and you’ll be good as new...

... And then she lost her balance and fell.

                There it was again. That low and deep rumbling sound she had been pondering about for the last couple of minutes. It happened a few times more before Sahoko finally came to the conclusion that no, this was most certainly NOT her mind playing tricks on her and that she really could not just keep ignoring it the way she was doing any longer at this point. Not when it was so very clear the sound was coming from the occupied booth seat right in front of her. And if that didn’t give it away, the embarrassed look on the boy’s face certainly did.

                Impassive façade broke into a little smile when the cake she had been savouring so diligently up ‘till now was shoved in his direction and eventually turned into a proper, full-on smile ― one of the rare ones to actually reach her eyes, in hearing his thanks and witnessing his eyes widen for a moment once the delectable sweet reached his mouth and disappeared inside it.

                ❛ There is... a little bakery... near Kosei. I used to buy... lunch there... before I learned... how to make a bento. ❜ The sweet maiden began to explain with a nostalgic look on her face. It was almost as if she had been speaking of one of her fondest memories. And knowing her, it could have very well been the case. ❛ The lady that works there... is very kind. She knows... I live alone... so at times... when she has some cake left... she waits for me... by the school gate... to give me some. ❜

                Elbows resting on the hard wooden surface of the table, the girl heaved a soft sigh and placed her chin on top of her hands, smile fading momentarily when her bright green eyes locked with his grey ones. ❛ Amamiya-san... you should really... take care of yourself more. ❜ Despite the slight reprimand there was clearly no malice in her words, only genuine concern. ❛ You know I... wouldn’t mind... making a bento for you too... if you don’t know... how to. But you shouldn’t... be skipping meals anymore. It’s not good... for your health. ❜

A muttered curse--too faint to be clearly heard--left the lips of the Lovers as she scowled at the math homework that had the temerity to be in front of her without doing itself for her. Ann managed to get through history by herself, and English had been laughably easy... but as it turned out? She really should’ve just started out with the hardest subject instead of procrastinating because now, oh now... she wanted to bang her head against the desk until sweet release came to free her from the arithmatic-based torture of it all. So what if she only had five problems to do?! They’d take an hour each at this rate, which meant she had one solution.

She needed to ask for help...but who?

Makoto would probably read her the riot act for not following some optimized method of study or something, and Haru was likely busy with her own studying. And Ryuji? He’d only be helpful if crying in a fetal position could somehow accomplish anything more than reminding her of how doomed she’d be if she didn’t finish this assignment. That left only one option... and as she pulled out her cell and swiped through to his contact, she hoped that the Fool would answer. And once he did? 

“Hey, got a question for you. If a train is going ninety kilometers an hour headed East while another went West going fifty... how much would I need to bribe you to help me with this stupid assignment?”

What. A. Day. Akihiko gives a quiet sound of relief when he manages to find the ramen place again. It was a bit out of his way, but Akihiko didn’t care - after a week of playing nice and friendly to people, he was ready to punch in the face of the next classmate who tried to shmooze up to him for his connections to Mitsuru.

“Ah... shit.“ He mutters finally, realizing that he’d come at a bad time. It was incredibly full - if Akihiko hadn’t gotten used to the crush of people in Tokyo, he would have never spotted the seat next to a quiet, dark-haired young man, the young adult slipping in and claiming the empty seat. “Oh thank god.“ Akihiko’s forehead hits the table, and he breathes out a sigh of relief, sitting up properly and putting his bag by his feet. He glances over, and offers the other occupant of the place a smile.

“You don’t mind my being here, do you?” Call him old fashioned, but he did quite honestly mean those words - with all the strange things going on, he couldn’t really deny the boy the right to refuse him the space. It’d be a bitch to wait longer, but that was what he got for manners.
