Most of these are adult fiction. I’m moving Somaly Mam. And Three Cups of Tea by Greg Mortenson is a great non-fiction read, even if it hints at saviorism. I need more Middle Eastern literature, and more variety & nuisance in my Asian literature. What are the Thai writing? The Vietnamese? It’s on my list of things to keep an eye out for, specifically in fantasy. I want to know what worlds and magic keep writers on the other side of the world awake.
