I’m trying to decide if I want to add my writing to this blog, my art only side blog, or make a new writing side blog.

I hurt my own feelings with a Spider Noir fanfic and I need to share it.

(Megawatt/Leyden is potentially the sexiest character I have ever seen so I wrote a doomed love interest for him with a phone operator lady. It’s devastating.)

So I have some Lenore thoughts, I like the idea of her a lot. But I don't think she's worth her price. So here are just some of my thoughts, as well as my doodling out some of those thoughts. I don't think she necessarily needs all these things, it's more that I let my internal rants about how she could be better guide me out of my art block these past couple days.

Part of why people pay more for collector dolls is because they have some type of attachment to them. Either being a Monster High character they already love, from an IP they love, or even the Off White had some brand recognition. (just not from me) And I felt like Lenore COULD have been the lady in white/weeping woman ghost story that just about every town has.

That being said- What is with the glitter tears?? If she had a unique sculpt that actually had a downturn on the brows and a sad face, and actually LOOKED like a weeping garden ghost, that alone would have made her more appealing!

Then why unpainted accessories? Why one big unpainted accessory her main focus? I like the vines (I didn't go very detailed here) but either paint them or make them smaller. (What I did) But if you want me to believe that the doll is WORTH $75 then you need to show that some actual care and effort went into her manufacturing and paint her damn accessories.

I just wanted an excuse to draw the spider. I don't like the human face but I only like a few of any of the MH pets anyway. so...

Put her damn hair up. Just like with the accessories, show me she is WORTH her price.

All of the above combined, the collector dolls stray further away from the High school aspect of MH and although Victorian/period fashion isn't necessarily my thing, I know a ton of collectors would have loved her looking like a ghost who's been haunting for a long time. And since she's not a character that's being portrayed in the high school - a collector doll would have been great! There's lots of adult/non-student characters.

Mini notes- I didn't draw patterns for her clothing, but the pattern on her dress as is would have still looked lovely on a bigger, fancier gown. I didn't do full body and I have no notes on shoes. They're not my specialty. And I would have appreciated her not having a full white sclera.

Having good day

Took ☝️ of the ‘makes me crazy’ meds last night, I don’t have a prescription refill bcs I’m supposed to stop them entirely, but I’ve been taking one every few days til I run out. Should I? Probably not, but it acts like when I first took them and makes me actually feel and act good so I’m struggling to stop.

BUT, I’m getting apartment (especially office) cleaned and organized better, getting more work done,

AND

We got a new (used) sofa today, it’s got some cosmetic damage on the fake black leather BUT it’s an electric recliner with adjustable head rest and a center console with charging ports.

Our old couch (and side tables) sucked ass and was so uncomfortable and falling apart.

Right now I’m reclined with a perfectly angled neck support, a cold root beer AND boyfriend picked me up a bad apple monster earlier (my favorite drink oat) so I’m even caffeinated.

I am doing art & writing in comfort while medicated & caffeinated, in a space that is refreshed and cleaner than usual.

Am happy rn

I pet a calf (baby cow) today and I had to hold back from weeping tears of joy in the petting zoo meant for small children.

All the parents were like “aw here kids, feed the animals”

And I’m the teary eyed 360lb goth lady telling the baby that I love him and would give my life for him, because I found the perfect spot behind the ear of a wittle brahman and he asked me very politely not to stop.

Dreamlight Valley Stuff (source for potential future fan art lol)

Giving me Rapunzel x Mirabel fuel which is one of my favorite ships.

Merida misses her girlfriend Aurora, but she's been spending time with Jasmine and feelings are definitely there.

Merlin and The Fairy Godmother are definitely a sweet old magical couple.

Ariel, Anna and Mulan all have a crush on Tiana. Tiana is clueless.

Beast felt weird with the lions being the only onces really similar to him, and then Sully (who confidently goes through the world despite being a "beast") showed up and he just :O and follows him around like a puppy.

Alice, Belle, and Olaf have a book club. Alice and Belle specifically get along really well. Turns out "not liking books unless they have pictures" is kind of a cute quality when it's from a child instead of a grown man. (Plus their outfits match)

Cheshire Cat, Stitch, and Venellope are an adorable and terrifying chaos trio.

If you’re mean to me, this is literally who you’re being mean to.

No really, this is the jackalope toy I’ve had since I was a child and the reason why they’re my favorite & why I named myself after them.

I told myself that I will NOT open any dolls until I've cleaned my office.

But my unopened doll pile is piling and so is my office clutter, and I'm feeling weak.

I won't do it, because opening a doll actually creates more clutter and I KNOW I will overwhelm myself SO bad. but I wanna :C
