a small thing I love about Spider-Noir is how they actually use the word "Superpower"

DIRK LEYDEN / MEGAWATT in SPIDER-NOIR — Betrayal (S01E05) in “Authentic Black and White”
Yall think Ben has a scar from the bite of 1918? (sorry, couldn't resist a Markiplier reference)
Like that shit hurt and we know it had lasting effects
but I don't think we ever saw the place where he was bitten? or I'm misremembering it now (i did watch the whole show on a tv with sun directly towards the screen so maybe I just didn't saw it)
like I want Janet or Robbie just see the nasty ass fucking bite scar and remember that no, Ben wasn't born with the powers, he got them later in life, in a traumatic experience no less
Flint, Lonnie, Dirk and Freckles probably got their powers through the IV shit, not this, not in a scar-leaving way
no shot youll try drawing megawatt at some point? your art styles really great
✨ Mr. Leydeeeeen Dirk! ✨
I hope to finish this but the sketch turned out pretty good in my opinion
I'm surprised that almost no one talks about this moment in the series😔
I watched the Spider-Noir show today and personally I really liked it.
Nicolas Cage is easily the star of the show, delivering a very fun performance as Ben Reilly/ The Spider.
Brendan Gleeson is really good as the mobster villain Silvermane, I believe this is also the first live action adaptation of Silvermane which is cool. The other performances are also quite good.
I think it's neat they used such an obscure villain as Megawatt rather than just going with Electro. I don't know why they did but it's interesting. I guess Spot is no longer the most obscure Spider-man villain to get a major adaptation.
I liked the story, thought it was interesting and kept me invested. I liked how it explored Ben's past/origin along with the origins of the other superpowered characters.
I think it's really cool that your allowed to watch the show in black and white or in colour. I watched the black and white version though I am considering rewatching it in the coloured version.
Overall I really enjoyed the Spider-Noir show and hope we get another season of it.
Ok, I'm gonna just talk so yall bare with me. Dirk Leyden was the best character in Spider Noir. Dirk Leyden was treated the worst by the writers of Spider Noir. I binged the entire season during a accidentally medically induced hypomanic episode so my feelings are strong, though may be incorrect at times. So like, bare with me again on that front. He was written in a way where every single character couldn't stand him. He was only tolerated for what he could do and how well he could take each physical and mental hit. His dreams were a joke, he was only barely included to be a 'victim' simply because he didn't fall into the role the same way everyone else does. And when he died-everyone cheered. And I nearly screamed at my TV when it happened. What do you mean this DEEPLY romantic and dreamy guy, had no one who wept for him? He just takes every hit and holds his pride together because the writers say so? Is it because he's queer-coded? because he's fat? Yes probably to both. I'm very angry about it. Anyway my self-indulgent OC who is hopelessly in love with him is being woven directly into the canon's in-between scenes we don't see. And no one can stop me.
I need someone to make a YouTube video titled “Spider-Noir but it’s just Megawatt/Dirk Leyden being iconic for (insert however many minutes long the video is)” pretty please.
