Bruh, ppl have really short memories. In 2017 when #Nigeria won back to back at the #jolloffestivaldc in the #dmv and #jolloffestivalnyc, competitors argued that #Naijajollof had an unfair advantage because the numbers were skewed in their favor. . . The argument was that people knew who the Niegria. Vendors we're, and with more Nigerians in the room than other West Africans depending on which city u were in, the votes will be skewed. . . Others also argued that presentstion should be taken out of the considerations for the votes since presentation marks gave Nigeria an edge over other competitors during both events. . . As organisers, we listened, we came up with the idea that the competition should be strictly based on taste, a blind tasting, eliminated the presentation element, and gave the people the power to determine the winner through a 50% people vote and a 50% judges vote. . . As organisers, we are called upon to revise the rules to create a more fair and balanced playing field for all competitors. It's not too much to ask.
