Lace describes Grand Mother Silk in Act 3 as a "silk starved beast" , this and the fact that Lace's hunter journal stated that she needed much silk to sustain her lifeform suggests that GMS was constantly burning herself and the kingdom away just to keep Lace alive, even as she gets consumed by the Void.

I wonder if Hornet saw Herra in GMS, or herself in Lace. I hope Hornet would finally spare herself some absolve after the true ending.
