You and me both until I was going through my phone and I was like "when the fuck was this taken" February 4th.
I happen to also be North-Texan (texan power yeah) and I've actually gotten in arguments with my dad (he was born in Texas) about what to call bubbly beverages. My dad has always called them Coke and I've always called them Soda due to influence from my Mom who is from Missouri. It's amazing how many different things you can call a bubbly beverage.
I've heard mostly "soda" from people not from Texas, and a few "pop". My English professor was at the movies a weekend ago and got the "what kind" question and she was like "what do you mean what kind? I want a coke" And so the entire class just started talking about it, and most of us being from Texas were talking about how we're the only state that does this.
