Their story? Well that’s currently a tiny bit of my problem. I don’t really have a fixed plot, so making me talk about this is very helpful 😂😅 this is also due to the fact that the story and the characters are relatively new (maybe half a year maximum)
They’re baseballers so baseball will definitely play a role in the story. Probably some big competition that will add some stress and maybe a bit angst. Jon likes to overwork himself so there is definitely something going to happen with that.
Apart from that their story is just mainly about high school life? Figuring out your sexuality, figuring out your feelings and then figuring out how to deal with all of that. There will be no struggle with homophobia because I’m tired of that and also I want a kind of “mainstream” story that’s just about growing up but well in gay?
They’re childhood friends and live close to each other so it will also be about things that will happen out of school. There’s a playground between their house which I think I already mentioned where they like to meet and there will definitely be scenes.
So the basic plot is just two high school dorks who play baseball falling in love.
Some interesting facts?
Their parents low key ship them. They’re friends and meet for brunch every Friday.
They both are really good with children and if there’s someone in the neighbourhood who needs a babysitter they are always called. And they usually come as a pair. They don’t really want to be payed for it but the parents give them the money anyways.
They grew up in a suburb under upper middle class people?
Derek is Afro American.
They have a friend called Hermann that everyone calls Hugo but no one knows why. He’s a year younger than them and they started being friends through baseball. Jon and Hugo reeeeally like to bicker.
