Leaders of men on tour
Jonathan Kelham Lecture 14
Today, Jonathan Kelham Fine Art tutor, talked to us about his journey as an Artist. Jonathan creates characters based on real people that have two sides to their character. Mainly using drawing to portray his ideas. He draws the characters with their real faces but with a famous characters body ie Paddington Bear. Jonathan has taken up several Residencies since he completed his studies. He has been successful in securing funding from the Arts Council for various projects.
He researches a lot, reading and watching YouTube clips. He advised us to document our own work. Save pictures as .tiff not .jpeg because .tiffs are far better quality images. Jpegs loose quality over time if you open and close them a lot. He suggested using Wi transfer to transfer your files. G mail has cloud storage and Drop Box is good too. He also recommended Gimp software, instead of Photo Shop, which will save money. And Google Sketch-up is a useful tool.
