Hey, y’all,

Since AO3 doesn’t let you post updates unless you post a “fake chapter,” and I’m not willing to do that to my readers, I’ma do The Thing here.

I broke my foot on Wednesday.  Oops.  I don’t even have a good story--the streets of my city are a disaster, I was walking from the car to the apartment, the sidewalk was cobblestones, my shoe got caught in an uneven patch, my foot slipped sideways hard, I heard a very loud cracking sound, and then I was on the ground.  Not my best work.

For the moment I am laid up with pain meds and awaiting an appointment with the Orthopedic Surgeon on Tuesday.  Theoretically, since I can’t actually move and I’m stuck at home for the duration, this should mean I have ample time to write, but the pain meds (not to mention the pain) are putting a serious wrench in any attempts I make.

With that in mind, and since @shennanigoats and I miraculously and serendipitously finished our DCBB (!!!!!!!!!!!!) several days before The Break, I’m unfortunately putting all of my WIPs on temporary and indefinite hiatus.  That means that y’all shouldn’t expect to see either Down to Size or No Haven in this World update in the immediate future.  I’m hoping this will be short, and who knows, maybe I’ll wake up in the next few days and feel able to write, but if that doesn’t happen, I want everyone to know why.

It also means that the one-shot birthday present I’ve been working on for @relucant is going to be even later than it otherwise would’ve been.  I’m sorryyyyyy Cat don’t hate me!

I’ll update more with some kind of timeline after I see the doc.  If any or all of y’all could reblog so as many of my readers as possible actually see this, I’d be endlessly grateful.
