It’s been a year since Ive seen my sister, Summer. She’s been in Korea training under SM Entertainment. I laughed at her when she said she wanted to be a performer but she did it anyways. I was wrong. She’s the greatest unni in the world. I don’t know what I would do without her. I cant even cross the street without her. So when she left I was devastated. My best friend, my sister, was gone. I had no one else who understood me like she did. And one day she just left. I mean it was to pursue what she wanted but she left me. Alone. I have a hard time making friends and with her thousands of miles away across the pacific ocean, it wasn’t any easier. I mean we were able to skype at least once every two weeks. Yea, that’s how packed her schedule was. I just hope she debuts so its all worth it.

One day, my mom called me into her room. My mom is a weirdo. She’s always just sitting around being… weird. I guess the apple doesn’t fall too far from the tree right?

“Hey I have a surprise for you.” Its probably like make-up or something. I wasn’t too excited until she handed me and envelop. When I opened it, a plane ticket laid in my hand. Seoul, South Korea.

I looked at my mom. “No way!” She just smiled. It turns out it was an early birthday present from Summer. Along with the ticket was a note from her as well. It explained everything I needed to do at the airport so I wasn’t lost and confused to what I needed to bring. Thank you, unni.

The plane ride was long and boring. I just wanted to be in Korea already…. I mean see Summer. Yea, that’s it. I just wanted to go site seeing and eat delicious food and buy cute things… with Summer of course.

Eventually we landed and once I got off, there was a Korean man in a suit with a sign that read my name  just as Summer said in the letter. He took me to the front of the SM Building. We walked through the halls which seemed like Labyrinth to me. As we passed what I assumed were practice rooms, I could hear music and people singing. From one of the rooms I heard a very familiar beat but I didn’t think too much about it. As the man opened a door for me, I saw a group of girls dancing. Summer! I didn’t know what to do so I just scooted to the side and stood there observing as my sister was living her dream.  Once she finished she turned around.

“Madie!” She ran and embraced me in the tightest hug she’s ever given me. She missed me  as much as I missed her.  “There is so much I need to tell you and show you and…” she rambled off. I was confused when I spotted a familiar face in the back of the room watching me.

“Emily?! What is she doing here?” I asked bewildered.

“Love you too, Madie!” She trotted over and hugged me.

“Well, that’s part of what I wanted to tell you. I’m set to debut! And Emily is part of the group.”

I didn’t know what to say. I was so happy for the both of them. Just then the door opened.

“Summer!” I turned to see Kris, Tao, Luhan and Lay standing at the door.

I have to say tao because he has this mysterious aura around him even though he's such a warm person on the inside and that's kinda what draws me to him...
